The entire world of humanity witnessed one of the most pivotal events in history on January 20th 2025. That reality of what began to happen then was well-expressed in the opening remarks of Donald Trump’s first address to our nation, eight minutes after taking his oath of office as the 47th President of the United States of America.
TRUMP: “The golden age of America begins right now!” (applause) From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world. We will be the envy of every nation and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer. During every single day of the Trump administration, I will very simply put America first.

Once he has implemented his policies, President Trump is convinced that America’s reputation will dramatically improve.
TRUMP: “America will soon be greater, stronger, and far more exceptional than ever before. From this moment on, America’s decline is over.
President Trump referred to the first assassination attempt on his life.
TRUMP: “Just a few months ago, in a beautiful Pennsylvania field, an assassin’s bullet ripped through my ear. But I felt then, and believe even more so now, that my life was saved for a reason. I was saved by God to make America great again!” (applause)

Before President Trump was sworn in for his second term as president of the United States in the Capitol Rotunda on January 20th, 2025, Evangelist, Franklin Graham, delivered the prayer of invocation in which he announced to the world the biblical reminder of Who is truly the King of Kings who owns the whole creation, as described by the prophet Daniel (Daniel 2:21).

“Our Father and our God, thou has said blessed is the nation whose god is the Lord. As the prophet Daniel prayed, blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his. He changes the times and the seasons, he removes kings, he raises up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. “Our Father, today as President Donald J. Trump takes the oath of office once again, we come to say thank you, oh Lord our God.”
All of us in America in the 21st Century have been living in a nation which has demonstrated for many years that, like ancient Israel, it has “stumbled from the ancient paths,” as described by the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 18:15). Rather than being a nation whose citizens, for many generations, largely honored the Lord Jesus Christ as their Creator and only Savior, America has been like God’s nation of Israel in the time of the judges when…
“…they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD…” (Judges 2:17).
Like those times of ancient Israel, before the long age of their many kings, America… and our whole world really… has mirrored those generations when “everyone did what was right in his own eyes” (Judges 21:25). As a society, it seems to most ordinary folks, that the people in charge of the nations… the rulers, the princes, the governing bureaucrats, and people with influence in the halls of schools and churches alike… have partnered with the gatekeepers of hell. To the horror of honest men and women who are just trying to raise their families with some kind of common decency and respect for righteousness, we’ve wondered if common sense and sanity would ever return in our lifetimes.
Well… like the prophet Daniel wrote, the Most High God is in charge… “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding” (Daniel 2:21).
Being human… every king that God has ever raised up … has flaws. Their knowledge is imperfect. They are all subject to being influenced by misguided counselors. They make mistakes… sometimes grievous mistakes. And that’s why God’s faithful people who love God and observe to do His commandments as best they know how (1 John 5:2-3), do “…not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:9-10). And never forget to “Pray for kings and all who are in authority…” Why? “…so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity” (1 Timothy 2:2).
Let’s never forget that our Redeemer leaves us here on this earth so that we can “let our lights shine before men in such a way that they may see our good works, and glorify our Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Even when God’s people are taken into captivity, the prophet Jeremiah commands us plainly… to “work for the peace and prosperity of the city where I sent you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, for its welfare will determine your welfare” (Jeremiah 29:7 NLT).
After enduring the horrendous decline of our nation over the past several years, millions of God’s people are now almost as awestruck as the Israelites were when they were delivered out of Egypt 3,500 years ago. Is our generation being given a merciful reprieve from God’s righteous judgment for all the wickedness that we have done little to stop? Is it our opportunity to “disciple the nations” to our Creator/Savior? Every generation has had its ups and downs. The last 100 years has seen our share of them. Regardless of what the rest of the world does, with all its wayward humanistic flaws, will we – the people who truly love God and obey His commandments – make it our foremost priority to be God’s ambassadors in all that we do?
Hearing President Trump’s humble, yet courageous confidence in his conviction that he truly has a mandate from the people of our country and even a divine purpose from God, no wonder we are now sensing a renewed and growing sense of good and godly American patriotism. For American citizens, January 20th, 2025 is LIBERATION DAY. …
He encouraged national pride with the caveat that Americans need to remember God.
TRUMP: “National unity is now returning to America and confidence and pride is soaring like never before. … We will not forget our country. We will not forget our Constitution. And we will not forget our God. Can’t do that.” (applause) Today, I will sign a series of executive orders…
We’ve never heard in our lifetime a president echo the common-sense wishes of law-abiding citizens to so confidently address the reformation needed in our society.
- Immediate halt to the illegal invasion of our nation’s borders…
- Declaration that the drug and human trafficking cartels are foreign terrorist organizations…
- Officially declaring a national energy emergency with the determination to drill baby drill…
- Bringing back manufacturing to our nation…
- Ending the “green new deal”
- Establishment of the External Revenue Service…
- Establishment of the new Department of Government Efficiency…
- Bringing back free speech by eliminating widespread censorship…
- Restoring impartial justice under the constitutional rule of law…
- Elimination of DEI policies and re-establishing of color-blind and merit-based policies…
- Two genders – male and female…
It’s no wonder that many of these proclamations of national change in policy received standing ovations from the audience in the rotunda of our nation’s capitol. And top all that off, he added this…
TRUMP: This week, I will reinstate any service members who were unjustly expelled from our military for objecting to the covid vaccine mandate… with full back pay…
He went on to say… “My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier.
You could easily say that President Trump is declaring a completely new era of separation from the regime that preceded it… It’s much like the opening statement of our founding document that officially declared our separation from Great Britain.
“When in the course of human events, it become necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitles them… they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation…”
Regardless of the several things in this declaration with which we might find fault, let’s keep a God-honoring heart of continual thanksgiving and prayerful intercession for God’s providential protection and guidance through the serious mine-field of spiritual and civic warfare that lies in front of us all. As followers of Jesus Christ, we can all champion the good intentions of President Trump’s closing words when he said this…
TRUMP: Above all my message to Americans today is that it is time to once again act with courage, vigor, and the vitality of history’s greatest civilization. So as we liberate our nation, we will lead it to new heights of victory and success. We will not be deterred. Together, we will end the chronic disease epidemic, and keep our children safe, healthy, and disease free… The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation… Ambition is the life-blood of a great nation… and right now, our nation is more ambitious than any other. There’s no nation like our nation… No one comes close…

If you listen to some of the stories of the J-6 prisoners that were released just hours after that prayer in the capitol rotunda, you’ll have a new appreciation of the meaning of that phrase, “Let Freedom ring.” America is only free because of the brave, who have been willing to sacrifice everything for the love of the Truth. And as we heard in the glorious Naval Academy choral presentation of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, the Truth is Marching On. And that only happens through the testimonies and actions of all of God’s people, including you and me, who dare to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to God, renewing our minds, being transformed, proving what is the good and acceptable will of God.
