Take Action to stand strong in the Culture War

The Pagan Left has dominated the Culture War in America far too long

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ” (Colossians 2:8).

Did you know that Noah Webster, America’s Schoolmaster, said during our founding era, “…that the man who weakens or destroys the divine authority of the Bible may be accessory to all public disorders that society is doomed to suffer.”

The term “Culture War” has become common in describing contemporary American life and politics.

Is it possible for a Biblically faithful culture to survive in this cultural war that has essentially determined the ways of thinking, living, and behaving in a post Christian society?

Let Truth Guide Your Legacy Action Plan

How does truth fit into our deliberate action plan to reclaim our legacy?  I believe that we live in a generation that is struggling to rediscover the timeless reality that we all pass on a legacy.  The only real legacy we have to pass on to our children is a legacy of truth: Truth about life; truth about God; truth that we invest into their future to give them hope.

Rather than just living day to day for life’s fleeting pleasures, a legacy-minded man or woman deliberately considers life as a gift not to be wasted.  Don’t you think that the really important things of life are deliberately developed and ‘invested’ in the light of a multi-generational perspective?  This is what seems to be missing so often today.  If you are investing for a future dividend, it has to be invested beyond your own limited vision of what you can do now and in the near future.  It’s going to be invested in light of the next generation. Imagine a Christmas that’s even better than Santa Claus!

I wanted to write a personal little Christmas letter to all four of my dear kids and 10 grandkids.

Would you agree that Christmas ought to be far more exciting than the ‘tinsel-town’ fluff that’s typically merchandized so heavily in our desensitized, fast-paced society?

I wanted my own kids to get this clearly so they would help my grandkids to personally know the One for whom the original Santa Claus sacrificed his life… but you all might like to use it yourselves in sharing this Christmas season in a life-changing way. You could even gather your little ones around you to read this short review of how we got some of our Christmas traditions.

Today’s Western world is so monopolized by highly marketed big business and the secularized ‘lame-stream’ media that it’s completely understandable how the true origins of Christmas and many of its colorful traditions have been stolen and hijacked. (more…)

Passion for Your Life in Christ

How to have delight in the Lord and experience His providential guidance

What really counts for achieving the success, the goals, aspirations and dreams that God has put in your heart for your life?

“Without passion, purpose and persistence, no amount of confidence talent and ability will lead to outstanding success.”  (Hilton Johnson, business Trainer)

The only thing I might add to that statement is the phrase, “in anything.”

King Solomon wisely advised,

“Whatever you do, do it with thy might.”  That means, put your strength into it.  Put your passion and heart into it.  My father taught me one of my most memorable impressions, saying: “If you’re going to do anything, do it well.”

95 Reforms for Reformation, Then and Now

Why Essential Oils Heal and Drugs Do Not

If you tell most medical doctors that essential oils bring about healing with no negative side effects, they won’t believe you. This is because in medical school, students are repeatedly told by their professors that all effective medicines have negative side effects, and if they don’t then they can’t be effective.

When I was in medical school one professor emphasized this point in a colorful, graphic manner with specially prepared slides. In each slide specific drugs were depicted as evil looking demons or goblins. As he presented each picture, he explained, “Although ugly and capable of doing harm, these ‘demons’ are also the bearers of some good. So long as the benefits outweigh the risks, we use them,” he  summarized. “We have no choice,” he continued, “because if a drug has no dangers, then it can have no benefits. That’s just the way it is. And that’s why it is essential that only qualified physicians be allowed to prescribe medicines,” he concluded. (more…)
