When I received this invitation from Rabbi Jonathan Khan for the September national prayer meeting that is being circulated, I was told that the sender had it banned from Facebook. When I tried to send it to a dozen friends by private FB message I got this notice: “Your message couldn’t be sent because it includes content that other people on Facebook have reported as abusive.”  What a lie! There’s nothing abusive about this message, except to the gates of hell. And we know what we’re supposed to do about that.

Do you think the devil is going to do what he can to prevent God’s will from being done? This alone gives us hope that we are on the right track. But, like Jesus said about “the cares of this world” preventing the good seed from growing up to produce fruit, let’s not assume that once we’ve been thwarted a bit, that we are finished. Let’s keep knocking at this door by repeatedly sending the message to everyone we can and urge them to talk to God about it seriously.

The “IF” at the start of 2 Chronicles 7:14 is big. God is ready and willing to forgive if we who claim to be His people seek Him and not just His blessings.  Will we ask Him to “know my heart and see if their be ANY wicked way in me?” (Psalm 139:23-24).

Lord, guide my steps, and give me the courage to share your word as it is appropriate for each one whom you cause me to encounter.
